About us
Wealth benchmarks™ is a private, independent service operated by the Wealth benchmarks™ trust1.
We are not owned by, nor do we share individual information with any financial institution or government.
This service was founded in 2006 by Dr Douglas Turek, a wealth advisor and ex-management consultant. (The latter at The Boston Consulting Group where Doug managed several corporate benchmarking studies for organisations to share information anonymously and make more informed business decisions).
"The idea for this service originated in discussions with clients who asked 'How do we compare?' and the discovery that there were few relevant benchmarks available. We also discovered that comparing oneself to others was a powerful "hook" to engage people to learn more about their finances. We hope the unique ratios we introduce become embedded in the way people think and communicate about financial position."
